When arriving in Penticton, BC, we highly recommend you settle into your living quarters before enjoying the town. This town seems very small and quiet, but it’s full of adventure. #1 on the BUCKET LiST should be THE CHANNEL. A fun and leisurely long channel of water where people go float on for 2-3 hours in their swimwear and alcohol. At the starting point, there is a place where you can rent a tube to float on.

ehbuddy recommends you head straight for Canadian Tire to buy your most handy water dingy for a day in the sun. We suggest this because if you want to go on your own time and repetitively, you don’t have to keep paying for the tube rental fee.

Penticton is between two lakes and as the channel flows into Skaha Lake, which as a very large beach on your left, be sure to head to the other beach on Okanagan Lake for a lively eatry strip with misters to keep you cool. The city can reach up to +40 degrees Celsius in the summer.
